The Andreas Hofer was hidden near Mars during the opening stages of the Free Navy Conflict where it was discovered by Alex Kamal and Bobbie Draper onboard the Razorback. Having been spotted, the Andreas Hofer fired a torpedo at the Razorback.[1] The racing ship was able to activate its Epstein Drive and flee at high speed towards an MCRN fleet escorting the Prime Minister Nathan Smith. The MCRN fleet's escort moved to engage the Andreas Hofer and the other ships that accompanied it. However, this was a deliberate attempt by the Free Navy to draw off the escort away from the ship containing the Prime Minister.[2]

Andreas Hofer was the leader of the Tyrolean Rebellion against Napoleon in 1809.
