Melas Kamal is the son of Alex Kamal and Talissa Kamal.

Melas lives with his mother on Mars.

As the Rocinante and crew approach Io, Alex receives a heartfelt message from Melas who went outside on the surface of Mars to send the message so his mother wouldn't know.[1]
When Alex travels to Mars to try to make amends with his ex-wife, Talissa. He aslo asks to see Melas but she tells him that he is away on a school field trip.[2]

- Melas Kamal does not exist in the books. In Caliban's War, it is mentioned that Alex has a son on Mars that he does not know about[3], but there is little reason to believe that this unnamed son is Melas' book counterpart.
