As per my request at FANDOM, discussions have been enabled! I strongly advise using Discussions to the detriment of Forum.
If you have any questions, post them here or on any of the administrators' wall.

I would dispute this suggestion. Discussions is pretty crappy in its current state, especially for primary desktop browser users. I would direct heavy mobile users to Discussions, but Forum is still best for longer threads and anything that requires a wikitext use (like any kind of text formatting, code examples, and template usage demonstrations).
See the Discussions FAQ for more info about its limitations and future plans.
So, ...
for people who might keep an eye on it, activity in discussions don't count toward your consecutive days on the wiki and article edit counts?
EDIT:
Hold the copy!
Blog Comments, Article Comments and Message Walls are going to go away too? That doesn't seem right.
Especially Message walls..... That's going to become a discussion category?

Achievements are going away too, if that's what you're talking about, so it is moot.

Message Walls should get replaced by something similar to Discussions and be integrated into the Discussions notifications system. Blog Comments and Article Comments may get replaced similarly, but less has been said about that. Progress has been vvveerrrryyyy sssslllloooowwww...
Achievements going away... okay. that'll be different.
EDIT:
how will we incentify contributors without some kind of recognition and bragging rights?
Without markup to format text and without some sort of tables as a rock bottom bare bones minimum, I don't want to use it.
Right after the net neutrality campaign, are people organizing a "Keep Forums" campaign? LOL

The campaign has been going for months on Community Central and Fandom staff have basically flipped them the bird.
