The union branch of the OPA is mentioned explicitly in the narrated story Babylon's Ashes as exposition[1] and dialogue[2]. No description is given but it may be inferred that this branch adheres to the more traditional roots of the OPA and the formal labor union model. It would be less reliant on a cult of personality although a charismatic leader in the union branch of the OPA could in principle create a separate splinter and a new faction.
